Yorktown's Robertson earns Eagle Scout Court of Honor

Ethan M. Robertson, of Boy Scout Troop 54, recently earned the Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

His Eagle Scout service project consisted of renovating a footbridge on the Noland Trail in Newport News VA.

The footbridge is located between mile-marker 2 and bridge 7 on the trail near Williams Field. The renovation included removing and replacing deck boards, grading eroded areas and laying down new rock for drainage and soil conservation. Twenty-five scouts and other adults provided over 148 hours of work to complete the project.

The Yorktown resident received the honor from Boy Scout Troop 54 on Nov. 29 at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Yorktown.

Robertson, 15, a sophomore at Tabb High School, is active in baseball and is a member of Northside Christian Church.
