Amanda Jones named to dean's list

Amanda Jones, a resident of Yorktown, has been named to the dean's list at James Madison University for the fall 2012 semester.

Jones, a senior, is studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

According to a university release, students must have a GPA between 3.5 and 3.899 and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours to be named to the dean's list.

James Madison University was founded in 1908 and had a total enrollment of 19,722 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs in the 2010-11 school year. The university offers 39 undergraduate, 31 master's and seven doctoral degrees. The campus has 111 buildings for academics, student housing and support facilities. The current university president is Jonathan R. Alger.
